How do I book a lake on LakeBooking?

Open the search, filter by region, target species, session length, or amenities, and pick the lake and package that suit you. On the lake page, choose your swim, dates, and the billing unit (day-ticket, overnighter, weekend, carp week, etc.), add any extras, and pay the 10% booking fee by card. Most bookings are confirmed instantly; the host's phone number unlocks 24 hours before your session.

What does a booking actually cost?

You pay a 10% booking fee online to secure your booking, then pay the remaining balance directly to the host when you arrive at the lake, in cash or on their POS. The booking fee counts toward the total booking value — it isn't an extra charge. The full breakdown is shown at checkout before you confirm.

Can I cancel my booking and get a refund?

Yes, on a clear schedule. More than 14 days before your session, your booking fee is fully refundable; 7–14 days before, you get 50% back; inside 7 days the booking fee is non-refundable. The remaining balance is only owed if you actually turn up. Hosts can publish a stricter or more generous policy, which is always shown at checkout. See the full Refund Policy for details.

The lake wasn't what was advertised. What do I do?

Open the booking, message the host, and send a photo from the gate — this timestamps the problem. Talk to the host first: most issues are resolved on the spot (a different swim, an on-the-day refund, a rebook). If it isn't resolved within 6 working hours, escalate to LakeBooking; we mediate using the message thread, the host's photos, and your evidence, and aim to close within 5 working days.

Can I bring extra rods, friends, or a non-fishing guest?

It depends on the package. Each host sets the rules per package — how many extra anglers, rods, or non-fishing guests are allowed, and what each extra costs. You'll see the options on the booking screen, and the total updates as you add them. If your party grows beyond a swim's capacity, you'd need to book an adjacent swim too.
